I maintain 2 websites, one for my wife (gandsproserv.com) and for our homeowner's association www.missionmanorhoa.com. Both are hosted by GoDaddy. I've been trying to make the administration as painless as possible for both, but especially for the homeowner association.
The association's site needs to be more interactive, where the officers can post at any time, as well as homeowners posting their own comments about the neighborhood. I tried to use Joomla, but found it unwieldy. I really liked Joomla's help section, which stated to find someone that had already successfully set up a site, and ask them for help.
I noticed today another free addon called World Press. I have played with it an hour and a half and have all of the features set up for the site. Something that it took me several weeks to set up with Joomla, and it was never set up perfectly. It looks like I can truly offer an interactive site.
My wife's bookkeeping site (gandsproserv.com) was much easier to maintain, and I used css templates to create the website.
